Prime Minister`s Republic Day Message 2020 It is my pleasure today to salute - on behalf of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, my own family, and myself as Prime Minister - the people of this great institution, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, on this its forty-fourth anniversary. When this country became a Republic in 1976 it was a proud, elevating moment in the lives of all citizens.
